STANDARD STOPPAGES is up for Best Classical Composition, Best Engineered, Classical; and Producer of the Year, Classical (Judith Sherman).
Chicago’s revered Third Coast Percussion recorded “Standard Stoppages” in Narwhal Studio A over October 1 & 2 and November 5-8 of 2024.
This record features TCP with renowned tabla maestro Zakir Hussain who passed away between the recording and release and a composition by Tigran Hamasyan.
The interplay between TCP and Zakir was amazing. They combined Indian classical music and Western classical music in a groovy, accessible and time expanding way. TCP dedicated the record to Zakir and we are very thankful to be a part of it!
